The Dinner Table

Nicola: “I love food. My Dad used to bribe me to go over to his house with promises of dinosaur shaped cheese on toast which seems to have left a lasting impression on me.  I used to race home from school on the 281 bus so I could be back in time to watch Ready Steady Cook; it seems ridiculous, but it was the beginning of an education in how to make something from nothing, or rather something that was greater than the sum of it’s parts. Ready Steady Cook maybe be no longer but I now race home from my day job and read cook books from cover to cover and blogs from beginning to end.  I want to share honest, good, home cooking with recipes and food that I have learnt and loved over the past 30 years. And it’s time to start sharing – if for no other reason than my flatmate and I are going to have to be winched up the stairs if I just keep feeding us!”
